"Japanese Watercolor" is the sixth track on The Residents' Commercial Album, released by Ralph Records in October 1980. The song was recorded between 1979 and 1980, and, alike all other songs from the Commercial Album, is exactly 60 seconds in length. Fred Frith plays guitar on the track.

Music video

A video for the song was produced by indie filmmaker Martin Redlich for the Commercial DVD in 2004.
