"Main Titles (God In Three Persons)" is the opening track to The Residents' 1988 "talking blues" rock opera God In Three Persons.

Background

A sung opening title sequence set to music, it features Laurie Amat on vocals and introduces the primary musical motif of the album, the organ riff to "Double Shot (Of My Baby's Love)" by The Swingin' Medallions.

The first recorded version of this song was a 1987 demo, featuring lead vocals by Hardy Fox. The second version would be the 1988 instrumental featured on the God In Three Persons soundtrack album, and the final version would be the vocal version featured on God In Three Persons.

Since then the song has only been performed a handful of times, all during the God In Three Persons Mini-Tour of January fo 2020. This version features a longer instrumental intro, incorporating more motifs from the rest of the album, as well as new vocals to fit the personnel of the tour.
