• 11th: Bill Black's Combo release their cover of Don't Be Cruel. a song that The Residents themselves would cover on their King & Eye album.
• Barry Eiland enrolls in C. E. Byrd High School, where he befriends future members of The Residents, who were in their Sophomore year.
