Wood Snakes is a digital-only "mini-album" by The Residents, consisting of of eight instrumentals recorded between January and November 1994 for the soundtrack to the Discovery Channel nature documentary series Hunters: The World of Predators and Prey. It was released for free in MP3 format to subscribers of Cherry Red Records' Residents newsletter on December 7th 2024.

Compiled from a "vast collection" of "hours and hours" of supposedly long-lost recordings from the Hunters sessions which had been "sub-divided by animal species", Wood Snakes features eight outtakes "produced with snakes in mind", in honor of 2025 being the "Year of the Wood Snake" in the Chinese zodiac. No album artwork was provided with the download.

In the March 29th issue of the Cherry Red newsletter, it was announced that The Residents are working on compiling "several more mini-albums" of material from the Hunters sessions; a second mini-album, Seven Cats, was subsequently released in the April issue of the newsletter.
