Season Of The Witch
Season of the Witch (not to be confused with the fictional album of the same name) is a 2015 digital EP by Black Tar and the Cry Babies, a Residents offshoot project led by the group's primary composer Charles Bobuck.
It was released online by Bobuck on October 17th 2015, and was later compiled with the Left With The Fires EP into the 2019 compilation Black Tar and the Cry Babies.
History
Season of the Witch consists of a seventeen minute suite, simply titled "SW", by Charles Bobuck's Halloween project Black Tar and the Cry Babies, featuring new versions/mixes of a number of Residents tracks, including "Kill Him!" from the group's 1999 album Wormwood.
Unlike other Black Tar releases, Season Of The Witch features The Residents' lead singer Randy Rose.
It was later reissued by Klanggalerie on Halloween 2019 as a TOOK release, with the Left With The Fires EP, as the compilation Black Tar and the Cry Babies.
