Monolog - Favorite Songs

Sam's Enchanted Evening version

During The Residents performance of Sam's Enchanted Evening at The Marsh in Berkeley Sam would give many monolog in-between almost every song. This monologue acts as a segue into the September song. Here is a transcription of this introduction as found on the Klanggalerie release of this show. This monologue does show similarities with So Long Sam's with the introduction also referring to the September song and Sixteen tons being his "momma's and daddy's favorite".

*Sam Laughing* That was fun Mack! Let me you ha ha ha ha that was fun lets do some more ok! Let's do some more.
*Mack asks for money*
*Audience laughs*

Uhhhhhh. Huh. oh gosh. Uhh it it's just a list it's just just a little list of a few songs you know its some of my favorite I thought maybe we could? You know, uhhh, first first two on there is my momma and my daddy's favorite songs. I thought maybe we might we might do them next what do you think? What do you think?

*Mack asks for more money*
Gosh Mack. You you a tough man. 
*Sam tosses a coin*
Ok alright lets go! Come on, let's do some more. I aint I aint got much money mack. 
*Sam tosses more money*
Here there there there! Ok come on lets go. I'm waiting on you lets go.
