"Hidden Hand" is a song recorded by The Residents in 2002 during sessions for the Demons Dance Alone album, but left off the final track listing, instead appearing on the bonus disc of its deluxe edition (in instrumental and vocal forms). Its omission from the deluxe version's lyric sheet might suggest the song was never finished.
Lyrics
(transcribed by ear)
I have a hidden hand that is forbidden for it believes in nothing much but it is touching When it was caressing your ankle, I guess I messed up in the borrowed blanket but I was sorry; Maybe it was too much but it needed to touch something hard and bony or you'd never know me. I never knew what to do with the hand that loved you; Is it strange to explain how a hand holds my pain?
